Eagle County Transfer Taxes, Fees & Assessments
A Transfer Tax on the sales price is required to be collected from the following towns:
- Town of Avon- 2% *
- Town of Vail- 1%
- Town of Minturn- 1%
- Town of Gypsum- 1%
A Transfer Fee on the sales price is required to be collected at closing for the following areas:
- Riverwalk at Edwards- 1% *
- Arrowhead at Vail- 1.5%
- Villas at Brett Ranch- 1% *
A Transfer Assessment on the sales price is required to be collected at closing on the following areas:
- Bachelor Gulch- 2%
- Beaver Creek- 2.375%
- Cordillera- 2%
- Cordillera Valley Club- 2%
- Colorow at Squaw Creek- 1%
- Eagle Ranch- 1%
- Red Sky Ranch- 1%
*Exceptions to the Town of Avon, Villas at Brett Ranch and the Riverwalk are available in some cases.
